Cooking with good health in mind

We choose our food not only to keep alive, or for the pleasure well cooked food brings, but also to stay well and active for many, many years.

The human body needs certain nutrients - carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals - and liquids on a daily basis. Whoever is in charge of planning meals needs a basic understanding of nutrition.

That is why one of the first sections we started at All Foods Natural was Nutrition - and I would like to have seen more people interested in this matter.

At home or school, children need to get the basic nutrients. Someone that is sick and in hospital will need even more care with diet - to be fair, a hospital probably would have a dietitian supervising mentus, meals are bland because they have to cater to many kinds of illnesses with a single menu.

Even restaurants should offer a menu that gives you a chance of a balanced meal, as well of flavorful and well presented.

Let us start with vitamins and minerals, and then we will talk about proteins, carbsohydrates and fats.
