Horseradish sauces
The Jewish version of horseradish sauce is known as chrain, and it is made with vinegar, not lemon juice, and it comes in two colors: white or red. The red chrain incorporates grated fresh beets to the original recipe.
Adding some natural yogurt to chrain makes a milder version, more to the taste of Western cuisines.
